I don't learn. I come to this Little Anita's because it is close to home but that is the only reason. Every time I come the tables are dirty and no one seems to care. Service is usually slow, tonight they have one server on the floor. So as usual service is very slow maybe he will take our order soon. The problem with this place is that there is never any management around. We never got served finally just left. Best bet is to go early in the morning the food is not bad if you can get it.

UPDATE! Been to Little Anita's Express several more times AND the Little Anita's by Albuquerque Old Town Plaza since my last review. Lil' A's Express is by far the better place to eat! The food at the Old Town location was OK at best. The service was bad beyond words! See my review under their address. (Pending...) Lil A's Express, on the other hand has been consistently very good! (I've been criticized for claiming that the food style is more Mexican than New Mexican. Sorry, but it takes more than "Red or Green" chilies and Sopapillas to make it "New" Mexican) And the service has been even better! The servers are friendly, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun! Try it, you'll like it!

TERRIBLE! I must say that this restaurant is NOT an accurate reflection of the Little Anitas in Old Town. I have gone here 3 times. ALL THREE TIMES they got my order wrong & I do not order anything special...I order a number and change nothing. The portions are VERY small and they are overpriced. You don't even get chips and salsa here when you dine in you pay extra for them. TERRIBLE! will NEVER go there again.

This place is dirty. The tables are dirty, it smells funny, the windows are filthy. Food is disgusting. Service is horrible. It's too bad as it could be so successful. Really is a Shame to the little Anita's name. Someone should do something. Owner are you listening ?

Good Mexican food. The huevos rancheros was a bit saucy for me but still delicious. Hubby enjoyed his old town burger very much. Great service.

Worst food ever! The shredded beef smelled like dirty dishwater and the cheese enchilada was just two tortillas with some processed cheese melted over it. The place was empty but I still had to wait 15 minutes for a to-go order. I won't be going back.

On the upside, best restaurant in Enchanted Hills. Everything was just okay. Service and food; nothing bad, nothing great.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
